Not with our help. Organizing a wedding abroad can be tricky, so we will take care of you from the beginning, first by dealing with all the paperwork involved in getting married in Italy, then by selecting the best providers for all the services you will need. Only our thorough knowledge of Venice and its suppliers will ensure that you will get what you want at the best possible rates.
Because we are a small company that, unlike big tour operators and travel agencies, specializes only in weddings. This means that we do not offer packages, but are able to offer our clients a bespoke service with a wide range of ceremony options, so that no two weddings will be the same. Moreover, we are based in Venice and this makes it easier for us to check the quality of each service personally.
Mainly by e-mail or fax. Though we enjoy very much talking by phone, we think that all details and decisions are better done in writing. Best of all would be to meet personally to outline the wedding you have in mind, but even if you can't, don't worry! We will coordinate effectively and quickly by e-mail and telephone alone.
One year is a reasonable advance for a big wedding, for a small civil ceremony just three or four months are fine. Remember though that weekends are booked well over a year in advance, so it is easier to find space during the rest of the week. The busiest periods are May, June and September so you might consider getting married at an unusual time of the year, then you are sure to find the most convenient rates for hotels and flights!
We can take as much control as you wish. Even if you just want paperwork assistance, or only have to organize the reception, we are there to help. On the other hand if you want to be involved in every detail of the planning, you will be able to do so.
No, we do not. Other wedding planners accept commissions from suppliers. This distorts choices. We offer our clients only the best without any vested interest getting in the way. Our only aim is to provide you the best service compatible with your budget.
In a civil ceremony, yes. Although the official wedding formula required by the Italian law has to be prononunced, you can then add your own vows, usually when you exchange rings. You can also add a personal touch to the ceremony having friends or family reading something of your choice, or making short speeches. The only requirement is that the ceremony does not last more than 25/30 minutes.
No, but you must provide two persons, to be present at your marriage to act as witnesses.
If you are flying, you can usually make arrangements with your airline in advance. First-class cabins have large "coat closets" that can be used for bridal gown storage. If your plane does not have a first-class area, it is highly recommended that you package the dress in a large box and ship it to your destination in advance, carefully packed in tissue to hold its shape. Regardless of the method you choose, we have a stylist at your disposal, should your wedding dress need last-minute retouches or ironing.
Yes, definitely. But even if you have been there already, it is very important that you tell us from the start how familiar you are with the city. Venice is a very different place from any other place you've visited, and has many peculiarities that is better to know in advance. If you have never been there, we will provide valuable information about logistics, and how things work in general.
